125x125 study in progress

www.Rarst.net I got proper banner and going to test some things that fit into 125x125 sized spots in my sidebar. This is not monetizing effort but traffic building and exchanging one. Please bear with it and point out things you have problems with or can’t stand - they are going to be eliminated faster that way.

I am also thinking about direct exchanges, anyone interested?

PS Yes, I do know that there is no magical way to multiply my traffic overnight. That’s why some testing. I promise to post report full of complaints and failed expectations so you can get that info at my expense. :)

Have you thought about submitting your site to directories, StumbleUpon and other social networks?

@Ky I meant 125x125 exchange. Well, it's link as well but more about bringing new readers than link building. :) Hadn't bothered with directories, probably going to pay for massive bulk submission when in generous mood. StumbleUpon works for me by itself and I also tried advertising with them a bit. Hadn't bothered with Digg.. Rest I hardly know.

I use performancing ads...is there a way to exchange ads? I have a 125x125 ad. =) I wouldn't mind exchanging an ad and seeing the results.

Mail me yours. I had bunch of trouble with performancingads lately. :) Seem to fixed itself at last.

Exchange ads within your niche is a good starting point for blog awareness. I still find blog commenting to be best for blog promotion. Yan

@Yan Yep, I try to make good comments (when I have something to say) and that surely brings me visitors. :) Still I'd like to explore 125x125 in its fullest. Entrecard is nice but credit prices for advertising are way too high if you don't spend all your evening dropping cards. But I'd better stop complaining or I'll have nothing left to report when I finish. :)

As a reader, I found Entrecard makes a blog looks.. cheap. Dunno, maybe it is just me.
  • Rarst #

@MK Well, it's not really Entrecard fault. Promises of traffic appeal more to beginners than to established blogs. Entrecard has its image kinda spoiled because of being overused on such.
