www.freewaregenius.com - freeware dedicated blog

freewaregenius freewaregenius is blog dedicated solely to freeware software, owned and maintained by Samer Kurdi (with occasional reviews from other authors). Blog has accumulated solid mass of reviews on any category imaginable but in my opinion has slight shift towards system-enhancing and eye-candy apps. There are few big digest articles like freeware top 20 and reinstalling windows with all-freeware that are nice points to start exploring.

Best thing is - while lots of people are more used to seeking right software for task at hand (I live in this mode) Samer finds and reports anything and everything which allows him to score some great under-hyped stuff. Reviewed apps are also rated 1-5 stars (plus “pick” reward for the best) but since most of reviewed fall to 4-5 category it is not very useful without complete scale.

Visually some time ago blog went through… How do I say it politely? :) Half-redesign. May seem… bit cluttered, but as long as you stick to sitemap and content it’s easy to bear with that.

Perhaps this is a sponsored post, but it is useful information. Is it? I like your post header font.. Looks very unique, but reverts back to Arial if the people don't have the custom looking font :)

This was not sponsored. :) And blog is indeed useful, amount of software reviews there is awesome. >I like your post header font.. I don't have Myriad installed so had no idea. :) I don't think it's widely used, at least on Windows. I am using free theme (see footer) but modifying it little by little. I am bad at design so I stick to tweaks without touching major points like fonts, colors and such.
